And regarding to Chinese Philosophy, my element is:

More on that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. It is now time to go to sleep.

The goat

You might wonder what this story about the goat is supposed to mean. I have to admit I had no idea myself when I wrote it down some weeks ago when my blog was brand new. But now I know!

Regarding to Chinese astrology I am the goat. That is I was born on the year of the goat. I’m not only an Aquarius I’m also a goat.

And being a goat that means:
I’m a daydreamer [not false]

I need a plenty of time to be alone and I’m most comfortable in my own mind[mostly true]

I’m not linear thinking[I'm not sure if this is true or false]

I could be a artisan or teacher of New Age Studies or any occupation that allows my mind the full range of freedom[might be true]

I tend to be not very well organized[hmmmm I thought I'm awfully organized]

I tend to be not very materialistic in general [not false]

When I’m in love I tend to be quite a lavish gift-giver [not my to judge]

I need to feel loved and admired [terribly true]

I would be well-served by learning to relax and let others run the show from time to time[yeh]

You can read more about the goat on the web page about the Chinese astrology signs.

More about the Translation Tragedy
My sister sent them letter yesterday and she didn't have to wati to long for an answer. And the answer answer translated to “Icelandic” is:

Yndi Herra / Frú , Þakka þú fyrir þinn skilaboð. Upplýsingar óður í okkar hugbúnaður geta vera stofna við að fara til : WordTran : Fleiri upplýsingar : http:/wwwtranexpcom/ vinna /WordTranhtm Verðlagning upplýsingar og á - lína pöntunarseðill

If I translate the answer for you to English, you get this crap:

Delight Lord Mrs , Thank you pay lip service to thy message. Detail óur into our software be able to be found a go to : WordTran : Further detail: wwwtranexpcom / work WordTranhtm Verlagning detail and river trawl order form

This is sooo baaaaad I could cry!!!!

hey, don't leave all of you, there are only seven left and I am the seventh!

Well it is fantastic
There are now 10 readers reading my page at this moment. Usually there are just one reading and usually it is just me!

Readers on my blog
It is a little bit funny to look at hwo is reading my blog and why. Last evening I was blogging on my Icelandic page and realized today how many people came to my blog from www.blogger.com. So now, I’m just on a readers hunt. So if it's close to midnight (Greenwich meantime) of February the 19ht you might be one of my victims. I hope you will forgive me and also read something on my page. It is not that bad I think, or hope.

The funniest thing on the internet
I was told recently about a translation program on the internet. A translation program that works with the Icelandic language. And since I know my English is not the best in the world and not many people understand Icelandic I thought of this translation program as a great thing. But unfortunately it became only the funniest thing I have ever found on the Internet or elsewhere.

Giving you an example, the program doesn’t discriminate between names and other nouns so it always tries to translate my name. If my name appear in English text it is “translated” to Icelandic and back to English again and I can of course if it appear in Icelandic text it is automatically translated to English. And also since I have various nick names I can now bear a lot of names in English. As an example:

Raggi (from English to Ielandic: Tattered
Einar Ragnar: Uncompromising Ragnar
Raggi (from icelandic to english:Sissy
. . . . .

You can read more stories of this translation crap on Kristiv’s page.

I also asked my sister if she knew anything about this page but she was working in some translations computer program at the University of Iceland last summer. She beg me, never mention her name and this translation program at the same time again. She was rather shocked to she someone put a crap like this online and made clear she have nothing to do with the program. She moreover sent them a letter of reproach, in Icelandic of course. They can just translate the letter to the language they wish she said, good luck!

Some more funny things about the page:

My mother's name is Hrefna and that is also a name of a small whale. So Hrefna translated to English is: Minke whale, lesser rorqual. And of I translate that again to Icelandic and back to English, I get: mink whale , memory rorqual

The idiots that made the program call them self The translation experts!!!

Some times you cant reach the page since: “Too many translation requests by millions of users. Please click here or try again later.” Sure, everybody is translating some books or something!

And finally one good thing about that page. I have finally found someone with less English language skill than I am!

One of Kristiv's English speaking blog readers wanted to read Lilja's Gnarr blog (her blog is really funny some times). But after he became wery dissapointed I think. I don't think he could even understand what on erath she was writing about.

And if you don't know it

I'm a bit older to day than I was yesterday!

I don't think you believe it
But I think I saw a ghost last night! I’m not sure what ghost it was but I’m working on it.

The funny thing is that I did not think I was going crazy but just wondered who it could be. Instantly began to think about what dead people I know. And I came to some conclusion I’ll not blog about.

Not time to go home yet

I got this email from a coworker earlier to day:

If you see two dolphins in the picture you are the most likely in good shape - both physically and mentally and you are able to work.
----> so continue working.

If you for some reason see something else in the picture you probably have stress and Burnout-Syndrom and
----> it's better for you to go home.

Since I saw just this two dolphins that appear on the photo below.

I think I'll not go home early to day. If you see anything else than this two dolphins, please tell me what I'm supposed to see on this photo since all my coworkers seem to see something else and have got permission to leave early today!

There is no end of stories from last Friday party
One of my coworker didn’t manage to get in to the Hverfis bar because she was chatting the whole night with this guy!!! Well, when I saw him he had some clothes on and no wings, but anyway, rather strange!

sunnudagur, febrúar 09, 2003

And not to forget
Yesterday,my sister Ralldiggnur had his yearly birthday. Not a big party, just the closest relatieves. An when I bought her the present I stole one of the ideas from one of Stina’s friend. Her friend Herdis gave Stina a book about how to cook for cats. And since my sister (along with our mother) has some cats it was a good idea for her too. I think they both love the book as their cats.

There is time for everything
It’s very nice to have separate time for everything. And now is the season of birthdays. It began the 20th of January when my mother had a birthday and it will end on my birthday, February the 17th if you don’t know it already. I believe that people born under the stars of Aquarius are usually quite funny odd folks that I usually like a lot, so it is not a bad arrangement. And this weekend only I had three birthday parties.

Friday evening was a great party when my friend and coworker, Stina became somewhat older than yesterday (yes she is now 30, who can believe that. I thought she was just 5 or 8 as I am!). It was a great party. Both meeting my coworker she invited and came to the party and her friends that I had never met before I think. Well actually I had seen some of theirs blogs. It seems to me that Stina has rather “bloggish” friends as you can read on her blog page. Well I think you have already read that since most of my visitors are coming from her page.

The party began a bit slowly. The first half of the party had never seen the other half. And the other half was growing rapidly but after a few drinks people was talking all over the place. I think I had always someone to talk to. At least I could talk to the deaf forest cat. No just kidding. I think I talked all the time so fast that nobody could understand what I was trying to say. I just talked to the cat because I like cats as most animals. And since the cat was deaf I mostly spoke with him with my hands. I kind of liked that and then he liked me and I also kind of liked him so we instantly became friends. And to confirm that he bate me in the finger.

Since it was much to drink, everybody (or I hope that) became rather drunk. Some became more drunk than others and on Saturday (the terrible day after) I decided to drink never again. Today this promise changed to “drink never so much again”.

That change of promise was somehow related to the fact that I had to go to another birthday party to day. One of my aunts became 75 years old. And she had the party of her life. She lives on the 12th floor of one of the highest buildings in Reykjavik and have along with her sister bought most of the apartments on the 12th floor of this buildings. If someone in Reykjavik is becoming curious then I can tell you this is one of the three Austurbrun buildings. Well the party was in five of the six apartments, all doors open between the apartments and champagne flooding everywhere. Those aunts I have are among the most extraordinary people I have met or even heard about. They are actually three of them, sisters of my father. Born on a very small farm in the northern part of the country. Lived in a turf house the first 20 years of their lives. One of them moved to America 50 years a go but is now living in Austurbrun as well as Washington DC. One of them has worked most of her live in the American embassy in Reykjavik (that was the one having the birthday). The third one married an engineer who is dead now. All of them are some kind of a cosmopolitans.

Hey, if you need to wake up
You could try this.
Remember to have the sound on!

Test of the day

Emotional Wreck. You are extremely emotional. You
feel contentment moreso than happiness and your
emotional lows are to the extreme. You need to
cheer up and start enjoying your life. Where
there is rain there is a rainbow and you need
to see it more than others. Do something that
makes you happy.

What can be more amusing?
So you know it, I’m having the fun of my life. Have to write down some numbers on a VAT report for my little sideline consulting and teaching job. The numbers are not so many but those numbers have to be correct. Incorrect VAT report can later make a big trouble.

So after at least one-hour msn conversation earlier in the evening I have to finish this report around midnight or later. But that is okay since the msn conversation was quite amusing and saved the evening.

Unfortunately I had planned to go to the gym this evening but what a heck (as we say in Icelandic English) that doesn’t matter since I’ve been told recently some girls just like fat men. (The problem is just that if I will become fat I will not be able to climb all the mountains I’m planning to climb, such as Mt. Hvannadalshnukur even twice this year, once around Easter and another around the whit sun)

Well, after 30 minutes of blogging (well, reading, writing and taking some stupid tests) and 3 cups of the strongest coffee available in the company I must go back to work.

my animal personality is:

Badger

Yack!

What Is Your Animal Personality?
brought to you by Quizilla

But it is ok, since I'm also blue!

You are blue. You are somewhat innocent, in the fact that your genius only extends to the physical world. You have a false sense of contentness. You are usually the quiet one, the genius. Everyone can count on you to help when they have problems, but you only fall short of being able to solve your own.

What inner color are you?

The male and female [ a bad joke made by myself ]
Do you what can get male and female together? Well, of course, it is the email !

It's a big relief
It has now been made clear that I also have a personality. Perhaps not the weakest of all peole but the weakest of all people I’ve heard about. I think I got some extra points in this test for my loud laughter.

My personality is rated 31.
What is yours?

Strange feeling
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and feel that someone is breaking in to my apartment. Since I don’t sleep with my glasses on I can easily imagine someone standind in a shadow behind a bookshelf or even better my imagination can change to bookshelf itself into someone very dangerous.

I lie nude on my bed and begin to think what to do. Should I just pretend to be a sleep (and let the burglar steel all my properties), should I make a noise or a small movement so the burglar will be afraid and run away (or will he be afraid at all), should I attack him right away or get on some clothes before the attack [thank you Stina] (will he maybe kill me)?

Usually before I do anything at all I realize that there is no one to attack [thank you Stina] or to attack [thank you Stina] me. My eyes begin to see, I put on my glasses or I wake up. And then I have to go to sleep again.

I hope I’m not going crazy.
